Projects
We have taken on a wide range of projects from a simple work support to a custom stand-alone machine tool, and everything in between. We make components for turning, horizontal and vertical milling, as well as performing machine-tool modifications, and machine-tool builds.
Regardless of the project, we find more and more that our customers have to meet tighter expectations to stay competitive in the industry. This means tighter budgets, tighter deadlines, combining operations to enable smaller production lines and overall shorter cycle times, which makes design more challenging. Meeting all of these criteria, however, means that we can keep these manufacturing facilities in the United States, which is important to all of us at PRZ.
Some of the turning application components we have designed and built are: jaw packages, tool supports, offset toolholders, multi-ID tool blocks, steady rests, work pushers, and work rests.
For milling operations, we have designed and built a large number of hydraulic and manual fixtures of various designs - including tombstone-type, window-pane, and trunion.
We have performed machine tool modifications such as: installing gantry doors, touch setter extensions, steady rests, and machine tool enclosures.
We have also designed and built specialty machines such as: a three-axis milling machine, a tapping machine, a high-speed drilling cell, a long blade serration grinder.
